Hedi Samsudin, born July 13th 1989 in Bandung, West Java. When he was 13 years old, he discovered his interest in the world of music. The songs he listened to were Iwan Fals, Michael Jackson, and Queen, which inspired his seriousness in music. He played guitar for two years before exploring other instruments, Violin. In 2006, he started persevering to play the Violin and learn more deeply about this instrument.
In 2010, Hedi started his music career, performing Top 40 songs with his band ‘d’Athena’ at a few cafes in Bandung. He moved to Bali in 2016 to gain life experience and play music. He met many musician friends, formed a band called ‘Cassava’ and joined ‘Sundaram String’ a string group in Bali.
In May 2010, during the pandemic, Hedi and Joe met for the first time at a music event in Kuta. Then he was invited to perform the symphony with The Munchies at the Deus Ex Machina Sunday Session. At that time, The Munchies were still with two members at their core.
Alongside with ‘Cassava’, since then Hedi has frequently performed with ‘The Munchies’ and Joe on several music projects. The experience he gained sparked his desire to be able to create and have original songs. In 2023, he officially joined ‘The Munchies’ and contributed fully to their debut album ‘INFINITY’.
